The rains in Escuintla caused the Achiguate, Pantaleón and Coyolate tributaries to increase their flow and cause flooding in communities in four municipalities.
Those affected are from Masagua, Puerto San José, Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa and Nueva Concepción, who woke up with the water inside the houses.
This has caused loss of property and poultry animals, as well as flooding of many crops.

Faced with this, authorities take actions to reduce damage.
