Recipe:
One apple, 200g grapes, 2 pieces tender lettuce leaves,3-5 fresh edible daylily flowers, 50g nuts (peanuts, walnuts, etc.), ½ tbs of sesame seeds, 1tbs soy sauce, 1tbs sesame oil, 1tbs chili sauce, spoonful of chili tempeh, spoonful of black pepper, 1/2 tbs Chinese red pepper

The recipe is for reference only. The amount of each ingredient can be freely added or subtracted, or you can add your favorite seasoning, or add/minus any of the ingredient. But, if you want the original taste, you’d better follow my steps.

However, fresh yellow daylilies contain a substance called "colchicine". Although it is non-toxic, it is oxidized to "dicolchicine" in the body after absorption through the gastrointestinal tract, which is slightly toxic. So when eating fresh yellow daylilies , don't eat more than 50g each time. Anyhow, the toxic component of fresh daylilies can be decomposed at a temperature of over 60 °C (140 °F). Therefore, it is very safe to eat yellow daylilies after frying, stewing, boiling or other processing.

Very useful tips:
Water-soluble vitamins such as vitamin B & C rich in fresh fruits and vegetables are extremely not heat-resistant. They will be completely decomposed after prolonged processing such as soaking, rubbing, steaming, canning, frying. Therefore, eating raw is the most appropriate method.
