Turning From Anxiety To Thankfulness | Devotional | Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. — Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious? That's a pretty sharp command. And then Paul accentuates this command with the phrase — "about anything." Really? Is that even possible? To not be anxious about anything?
This means you can't be anxious about:
Media propaganda.
Family issues.
Government mandates.
Growing health concerns.
Hyperinflation.
Supply chain issues.
Or being with your family on Thanksgiving.
And this is what Paul means. That is the way we are supposed to live — anxiety-free. But, Paul does not leave us without a method for addressing the madness when anxiety arises in our life. Because we are not commanded to ignore our anxiety but to address it. And the way we address it is we let God annihilate it. And we do this by presenting our concerns to God. Because you see, God is anxious for our anxiety. He wants to hear about it, and he wants us to give them over to him and stop bearing the load of them ourselves because they distract us from things of eternal value.
So stop bearing the load of your anxiety and start giving it to God. And don't bother yourself with the concern that the world projects at you. Stop seeking natural solutions when you need supernatural intervention. Your efforts are futile. Call on God, who provides solutions that allow you to live thankfully and be anxious no more.
