Russian soldiers desperately cry for help, as Ukraine sinks 3 ships and kills the Russian commander | Update on Russia and Ukraine war May 16.
The dramatic and horrifying incident was captured by Ukrainian intelligence from an intercepted radio exchange between the soldier and his commander, who was stationed at the Crimean Naval Command. The marine lost his temper and told the commanding officer "it's going to fail" after his cries for help went unheard. Russian Raptor ships were attacked by Ukraine as they patrolled the waters off the strategically important Snake Island in the Black Sea.
The island was seized by Russian forces at the beginning of the war and has been bitterly disputed ever since.
The occupation of the island allowed the Russians to effectively control the waters.
During the attack, two Raptors were downed by Bayraktar TB-2 drone-launched missiles, leaving the Russian Navy with only three more patrol boats in the Black Sea.
When the third boat suffered another missile attack, the enraged marine officer asked his superiors for air support. Three Russian patrol boats were shot down by Ukraine in a few days.
In a panicked voice, the Russian soldier shouted: "81, this is 85 - where is the air force? Where is the air support?!"
When informed that help was coming, the mariner replied: "How long have they been gone?
"Bayraktar, it's going up, it's tracking us and shooting at us!"
The commanding officer ordered the navy to return to base and then inquired about the fate of the other two patrol boats
The radio soldier replied, "82 and 83 both down. I'm swerving towards you."
Then, in a dramatic escalation, he shouted in desperation: "Bayraktar is still watching us. I repeat it's still chasing us!
"Where have you observed our air support, tell me, WHERE IS IT?!"
Showing apparent indifference to the dangers his men faced, the commanding officer ordered his men to attempt to tow the two crashed Raptors ashore.
His unrealistic command elicits an explosive response from the always desperate maritime curator.
He replied angrily: “Everything above me is on fire”, how can I drag them?
"Under their bullets?! I've tried! Three rockets were heading towards me, by the time they were stationary."
Moments later, the marines shouted in horror: "81 this is 85. They just fired a WIDE missile at us!!!
Russia has suffered huge losses when Ukraine destroyed 3 patrol boats and 1 cruiser along with 1 landing ship.
It is known that the commander of the Russian army's black sea fleet, Admiral Igor Osipov, was destroyed, when the Russian military base on Snake Island was completely destroyed. only 8 of the hundreds of Russian soldiers left "have escaped", commander Osipov was unable to escape. The surviving Russian soldiers said that Mr. Igor Osipov had died. This is a huge loss for the PUTIN army, as they continue to lose a leading commander.
